Future Sales Director – Join Our Leadership Team
I-Tech is hiring its Future Sales Director to succeed our current Sales Director, who will begin scaling down from mid-next year. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside an experienced leader and gradually assume full responsibility for our global sales operations.
As Future Sales Director, you’ll lead complex sales processes, develop strategic accounts, and expand our reach among top marine coating manufacturers and emerging markets.
You’ll report directly to the CEO and will be part of the company’s leadership team. You will work closely with our marketing and R&D teams. This role requires a hands-on approach, combining strategic thinking with practical sales execution.

Key Responsibilities:
Build industry networks and drive global sales of Selektope, our barnacle-repellent technology for marine coatings
Lead complex, value-based, technical sales processes with top-tier multinational customers
Manage strategic customer relationships and distributor networks
Develop and execute sales and business development strategies
Build industry networks and drive demand for Selektope
Support brand-building and customer engagement with the Marketing Director
Represent the company at industry events and forums

We’re looking for someone with:
An entrepreneurial mindset, customer-focus, and passion for sustainability
B.Sc./M.Sc. in business or technical field; MBA/PhD are a merit
7+ years of experience in value-based, technical solution selling to top-tier
multinational customers
Strong business acumen and cross-cultural communication skills
Strong leadership, mentoring and strategic relationship-building skills
Proven ability to work across cultures, especially in Asia
Experience from and knowledge about the global marine market
Ability to lead through change and drive innovation
Experience in regulatory frameworks and complex B2B sales processes
Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Swedish (other
languages a plus)
Experience with sales forecasting, CRM and management tools

Join I-Tech AB, a solid, high-performing team with global reach to continue driving the growth of our barnacle-repellent active agent biotechnology, Selektope® in the marine industry. Selektope® provides a sustainable solution that reduces fuel consumption and green-house gas (GHG) emissions by preventing hard fouling on marine vessels. Our customers are global marine paint companies, who add Selektope® into their anti-fouling paints used by ship operators and shipyards to protect ships from the negative effects of biofouling.
At I-Tech, we are working with tomorrow’s coating solutions for the marine industry. In doing so, we are addressing a significant part of the world’s CO2 emissions every day. We are a small team of experienced chemists with a strong commitment to each other and the cause and we are looking for the same in our new colleague.

This full-time role will be based at the I-Tech AB head-office in Gothenburg Sweden (AstraZeneca BioVentureHub) and will report to the Technical Director. The starting date will be 1st April 2021, or as agreed. More information about I-Tech can be found at www.i-tech.se

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Lab Technician within I-Tech’s R&D team, your role will be to prepare and test coating prototypes both in the lab and in the sea. In close collaboration with some of the best chemists/engineers in the industry, you will carry out tests of new and existing solutions for a global problem.
Your main tasks will be to:
· Prepare prototype paint formulations for internal testing and supporting the solving of requests from external parties.
· Planning and execution of test packages for fit-for purpose testing.
· Develop and implement new test methods.
· Reporting.
· Quality control of raw materials.
· Support of supply chain.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this position, you will ideally have a professional training as a Lab Technician, Chemist or Biologist or similar. Furthermore, it is important that you:
· Are structured and systematic in your work approach.
· Have experience in working with wet chemistry, experience in a paint laboratory is of advantage.
· Have an understanding of formulation techniques and raw materials in our technology area would be beneficial.
· Some experience in marine biology is of advantage.
· Are fluent in English, written and spoken.
· Are a team-player.
· Are able to operate and troubleshoot laboratory and testing equipment.
