From group manager to department manager, then function manager and deputy store manager. After that, he traveled to the USA to help establish our store in St. Louis. So, where has Jakob ended up now, 22 years after his first job with us? Well, he’s back where it all started. Where it all started for IKEA. Today, he is the store manager in Älmhult.

Workplace: IKEA Kållered
Contract: We offer temporary employment during June-August. For at least 6 of the weeks, we offer employment of approximately 80% per week. Before and after your summer employment (approximately 80%), you will work 8 hours per week – which corresponds to every other weekend and one weekday during the week.
Employment start: June 1, June 8, or June 15, 2026.
Last day of employment: August 30, 2026
Schedule: We work on weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Your working hours will vary and will be scheduled.
Working hours: The earliest you can start is 5:15 AM, and the latest you can finish is 20:30 PM.

Working with us
At Customer Fulfilment, it's full speed every day. We handle inbound deliveries, drive forklifts, unpack and restock goods, and ensure the store is commercially replenished before opening. During the day, we also pick and pack orders for our customers. Always with safety as the top priority and with the customer in focus. We work together and have fun along the way!
As a Team Leader Fulfilment Operations, you will work on:
- plan and organize the entire goods flow process from the loading dock through the sales point to the fully picked cart for the customer at the lowest possible cost.
- ensure daily operations run smoothly by optimizing staffing, recruiting, driving work methods and routines, and ensuring we achieve our daily goals.
- ensure an efficient goods flow through close collaboration with other functions and continuously work to develop the business.

ABOUT THIS WORK AREA
At IKEA Kållered's Customer Fulfilment function (Logistics), we are a great team working together with the aim of making the day the best for both our customers and for each other.
At 05:15 we open the doors at the loading dock to start unloading goods. We handle our goods in our daily operations by replenishing items, picking customer orders, driving forklifts, and more. Your task, together with your amazing colleagues, is to ensure that the products are available to our customers in a safe and efficient manner. The position demands high precision, responsibility, and the ability to switch pace.
Our scheduled working hours vary and are set between 05:15 and 20:30. A prerequisite is that you enjoy working early mornings as well as during the day and evening, and that you are able to get to and from IKEA Kållered during these times, both on weekdays and weekends. Please note that it is not always possible to travel by public transport for a start at 05:15, whether on weekdays or weekends.

Working with us
As a salesperson in our kitchen departments, you are responsible for your own customers throughout the entire buying process. From dream to detailed planning – everything from choosing doors, finding smart technical solutions and creating floor plans to making decisions about how the kitchen should be assembled and installed. På IKEA Kållereds Customer Fulfilment funktion (Logistik) är vi ett gott gäng som arbetar tillsammans, med syfte att göra dagen till den bästa för såväl våra kunder som för varandra.
Kl 05:15 slår vi upp portarna på lastkajen för att börja lossa gods. Vi hanterar vårt gods i vår dagliga drift genom att fylla på varor, plocka kundordrar, köra truck med mera. Din uppgift, tillsammans med dina fantastiska kollegor, är att se till att varorna blir tillgängliga för våra kunder på ett säkert och effektivt sätt. Tjänsten ställer höga krav på noggrannhet, ansvarstagande och förmåga att kunna tempoväxla.
Våra schemalagda arbetstider varierar och är förlagda mellan kl.05:15-20:30. En förutsättning är att du trivs med att arbeta såväl tidig morgon som dag och kväll samt att du behöver kunna ta dig till och från IKEA Kållered dessa tider, vardag som helg. Observera att det inte alltid är möjligt att resa med kollektivtrafik för start kl.05:15 under helger, utan du måste kunna ta dig till jobbet under helgerna i tid.

A day in your life with us
At Customer Fulfillment, it's full speed ahead every day. Together, we take care of deliveries, drive forklifts, unpack and replenish goods and secure a commercially replenished department store before opening. During the day, we also pick and pack things for our customers. Always with safety as the highest priority and with the customer in focus.
The tasks of a Team Leader at Customer Fulfilment may vary. One day is rarely the same as the other and the days can include everything from recruiting new employees to strengthen your team, holding developmental conversations with your employees to being responsible for functions and leading the work and supporting your employees in the department. A large part of your time will be part of the daily operations where you lead your employees in everyday life and ensure that we always have the customer in focus.
You will have personnel responsibility for a group of employees for whom you are the immediate manager. A Day In Your Life With Us
In the logistics department, our primary task is to ensure that our customers have a smooth and easy shopping experience by ensuring that our goods are in the right place at the right time. We receive and handle goods in the warehouse, handle replenishment in the store and pick and pack orders for our customers. Here we work with our goods all the way from goods reception to sales point or directly to the customer. Of course, the customer experience is our focus throughout the chain.
In the position as Operations Leader Outflow, you will work in operation together with other employees. On the days that you are Operations Leader, you will lead and distribute the work within the logistics department. The key in this role is to ensure staffing for today and tomorrow in a solution-oriented way to provide the right conditions and that operations will flow as smoothly as possible.

ABOUT THIS WORK AREA
To meet our customers' needs, we have varying working hours, between 05.00-23.00. We work both weekdays, evenings and weekends.
We are looking for you who also want to continue working this autumn and hopefully for a long time to come.
The start of employment is in April or May 2023. If necessary, there may also be an opportunity with an earlier start date.
We are looking for you who want to work:
-25h / week on temporary leave until week 35 with 8h / week until further notice as basic employment.
-30,6h / week on a fixed-term basis until week 2 2024, with 8h / week until further notice as the basic employment.

En dag I ditt liv med oss
På logistikavdelningen är vår främsta uppgift att se till att våra kunder får en smidig och enkel köpupplevelse genom att säkerställa att våra varor är på rätt plats vid rätt tid. Vi tar emot och hanterar gods på lagret, sköter varupåfyllnad i varuhuset samt plockar och packar ordrar till våra kunder. Här jobbar vi med våra varor hela vägen från godsmottagning till säljplats eller direkt till kund. Självklart är kundens upplevelse vårt fokus genom hela kedjan.
I denna tjänst som Driftledare Outflow kommer du att arbeta i drift tillsammans med övriga medarbetare. De dagar som du är Driftledare kommer du att leda och fördela arbetet inom logistikavdelningen. Nyckeln i denna roll är att på ett lösningsorienterat sätt säkerställa bemanningen för dagen och morgondagen för att ge rätt förutsättningar och att driften ska flyta på så smidigt som möjligt.
Du leder aktivt driften för dagen, fördelar arbetsuppgifter, coachar och utmanar medarbetarna på avdelningen till att nå ett högt resultat med högsta kvalitet till lägsta möjliga kostnad. Genom ett gott samarbete med övriga Driftledare Outflow och Inflow samt Gruppchefer ser du till att vi når verksamhetens mål på ett effektivt och säkert sätt i det dagliga arbetet. I nära samarbete och dialog med din chef kommer du att tränas in i rollen som chef och ledare på IKEA.
Outflow på Logistik innebär alla varor som lämnar varuhuset och majoriteten av dem plockar vi åt kund genom våra servicear såsom Click & Deliver och Click & Collect. Dessutom ingår även vår service Hemleverans. Outflow är den mest växande delen inom IKEA, där vi kontinuerligt arbetar med att utveckla nya arbetssätt för att kunna matcha kundernas köpmönster samt förväntningar på oss. Här vill vi se att du är med och bidrar genom att vara flexibel och lösningsorienterad.
På Logistkfunktionen i IKEA Kållered är vi ett stort och gott gäng som arbetar tillsammans och du kommer att ingå i ett team bestående av flera Driftledare.
Majoriteten av arbetspassen startar kl.05:00, men en del av passen är även förlagda på kvällar fram till senast kl.23:00. Arbete varannan helg ingår i tjänsten. Vi förutsätter?att du trivs med dessa arbetstider och att du kan ta dig till och från IKEA Kållered vid dessa tider. Kl 05:00 slår vi upp portarna på lastkajen för att börja lossa gods. Du hanterar vårt gods i vår dagliga drift genom att fylla på varor, plocka kundordrar, köra truck etc. Din uppgift, tillsammans med dina fantastiska kollegor, är att se till att varorna blir tillgängliga för våra kunder. På ett säkert och effektivt sätt. Tjänsten ställer höga krav på noggrannhet, ansvarstagande och förmåga att kunna tempoväxla.
Våra schemalagda arbetstider varierar och är förlagda mellan kl.05.00-23.00. En förutsättning är att du trivs med att arbeta såväl tidig morgon som sen kväll samt att du behöver kunna ta dig till och från IKEA Kållered dessa tider, vardag som helg. Även då det inte alltid är möjligt att resa med kollektivtrafik.

Many of us who work at IKEA today have started a job during the summer. Now by the summer of 2022, we are looking for several employees to all of our department stores around the country. Some department stores need summer substitutes as early as May until August. Some department stores will also be able to offer jobs in the evenings and weekends even after the summer period.
This means that you may be currently studying, have an hourly employment elsewhere, not managed to find your dream job yet or simply want to change jobs? We believe in the many people and are hereby looking for all kinds of talents for our department stores during the summer period.

A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US
Working at one of our IKEA stores can mean everything from receiving goods, stocking up on shelves to helping customers decorate their homes. It can also be to give a good last impression when the customer pays their goods at the checkout and leaves the department store.
In the department stores we have varying working hours between 05.00-23.00 and we work both on weekdays, evenings and weekends. We are looking for you who want to continue working this autumn, as we usually have many part-time positions to offer even after the summer period.
For IKEA Bäckebol we are looking for you who want to work:
- 8h/week until further notice starting around v.18 with a temporary employment of a total of 25h/week for about 6 weeks during the summer period.
For IKEA Kållered we are looking for you who want to work:
- 8h/week until further notice with a temporary employment of a total of 25h/week for about 6 weeks during the summer period.
- 25h/week until further notice
- 25h/week holiday temporary employment for about 6 weeks during the summer period
The summer period is between week 24-35??

Our jobs during the summer are popular and we spend a lot of time on our summer recruitment process. This unfortunately means that it can be perceived as long, but hold on, we are working as fast as we can to give you information in the different stages of the process.

You will work as an Interior and Design Co-worker within the Communication and Interior design department (Com&In;) of the IKEA Kållered store. At times you may be contributing to another store in your region or be an important part of a larger project in an IKEA market outside your region.

Your responsibilities
You are creative, willing to learn and work with colleagues, eager to create inspiring range presentations solutions, always with the IKEA conceptual framework as guiding star. You bring your talent, your curiosity and home furnishing passion, we add on the IKEA concept and together we take IKEA and you to the next level.
Your main tasks will be offering our visitors of IKEA Kållered store the most inspiring shopping experience, meaning working with interior design in room settings while always presenting our range in a commercial and inspiring way. The purpose of all the work you will do is to appeal to the needs and dreams of the many people.
When working within Com&In; department you will collaborate a lot with colleagues in your department as well as sales and logistics. It is in this intersection we together create not only esthetically appealing solutions, but also commercial and easily maintainable. We are after all in the retail business. This gives an opportunity for you to deepen your expertise even further and become more commercial.
If you are involved in projects outside your region, you will get an opportunity to develop valuable networks, accelerate your personal development and widen as well as deepen your current expertise considerably.

The positions are fulltime, both permanent and temporary. The temporary position will last for approximately 6 moths. Start according to agreement. We are mainly working office hours (Mon-Fri 07.00-16.00), however sometimes the work might include evenings and weekends.
