We are looking for a Global Technical Innovation Manager (f/m/d) for our Global Feminine Care category.
The position is within our Global Brand Innovation and Sustainability organization (GBIS). It is a permanent role, located in Gothenburg with direct report to the Global Innovation Director.
Global Brand, Innovation and Sustainability (GBIS) drives company value creation with global, winning product innovation and brand building to achieve and sustain category leadership positions for our Feminine Care brands, such as Bodyform, Libresse, Libra, Nana, Nosotras, Nuvenia and Saba.
What you will do
In this role you will develop and deliver innovative new products, solutions & services on a global level to better meet the needs of a defined target audience. You will work in a marketing partnership to lead prioritized concepts through all stages of the innovation funnel from concept to launch which will be executed by the regional teams in Latin America, Europe and Australia. You cooperate closely with the Global Innovation Director, lead markets, Market Research, R&D, Technology, global Sustainability team and others to create a strong 12 quarter launch plan driving company sales growth and reaching overall Essity targets.
Furthermore, you will help identify opportunities and gaps that enable to fuel the innovation pipeline and build the brand in accordance with our brand pyramid, consumer segmentation, and brand architecture.
Your responsibilities will also consist of assessing technical feasibility and execution of the project where you will own the product specification, agree on mandatory parameters and deliver consistent quality assurance through the supply chain.

Who you are
University Degree from a technical field or in science / business


Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience


Successful track record in developing and launching innovations from idea to execution


Strong project management skills


Experience in R&D/Product Development environment


Commercial awareness and mindset to meet business requirements


Ability to convert consumers needs & pain points into a technical solution


Fluent in English. Other languages are considered a plus

Furthermore, we expect you are open-minded, team-oriented and solution- & results-driven person with excellent communication skills. You have an experience of working in matrix / multinational environment, preferably in FMCG sector and have Intercultural competence, as you will be working with different stakeholders and markets, such as Australia, Latin America and Europe.

management, and data tracking, though you will work closely with the internal quality manager and take on additional tasks as needed.

Your initial goal in this role will be to form relationships with your supplier contacts so that you can more effectively work together on our joint quality goals. From there, you must be willing to identify what needs to be done, and take it upon yourself to do it.


We are looking for someone with:


- 2-8 years experience in at least two of:
- Coordinating between development and production

- Coordinating with suppliers

- Working with quality in a manufacturing environment


- Fluency in English and Swedish in both speech and writing

- University degree in engineering, quality, math, science, or similar field


Experience with Solidworks, Adobe Suite, data analysis, and ISO implementation are all bonuses.


Some, though not a large amount, of travel will be necessary.


There is a lot of work to be done, but if you’re driven, independent, and have a passion for quality, you will be hard-pressed to find a more open, friendly, and talented company to join.
