About the position
As a UX Designer, you will be a part of our Engineering department consisting of about 50 engineers working within embedded systems, system software as well as windows applications, and web services. SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) is the main process used for product development.

As a UX Designer at Kollmorgen you will have a key role in creating a world class experience for Kollmorgen’s customers. You will work on a broad range of software tools, such as warehouse layout design tools and visualizing tools, to create a more seamless experience. Your tasks will be a mix of research activities as well as UI work.

You will initially be working with our Web Tools Team which consists of Software Developers, a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, a Content Writer, and a Product Owner. They are developing design web applications to manage warehouse layout design with focus on speed and commissioning. You will also collaborate closely with Product Manager, your UX colleague, and UX lead.

Your role will include tasks such as:

Work with the software team to build, iterate and release finished design.
User research, concepts, prototypes, and user journeys.
Strategic design decisions related to new and existing functions.
Discuss and refine your design with relevant stakeholders.
Collaborate with your UX colleagues to make sure that the established design. standards are consistently and appropriately applied.

We are looking for you
Academic degree in Product Design, Interaction Design or similar.
Worked as a UX Designer for 2+ years.
You are good at communicating and like to share knowledge with others.
Expertise in core UX disciplines such as user research, concept development, prototyping, interaction design, and usability testing.
Experience working directly with customers.
Worked with embedded software products and web-based applications in an agile environment.
Experience using Figma is a plus.

Your role and responsibilities
As a?UX Designer at Qmatic you will design the user experience of our expanding cloud services. In collaboration with other UX and Visual Designers in the Experience Design Team, you will ensure a seamless customer experience across the Qmatic cloud eco-system. You will work in the entire field of user-centered design, from research and concept development, workshops facilitation, conducting interviews and performing user tests, to detailed design specification and collaboration with developers, as well as optimizing the user experience and follow up on business impacts. You will also be part of the team evolving our design system.

Your skills and experience
To succeed in this role, we believe that you:
Have been designing for at least 5 years as UX/UI designer, service/product designer or similar role.
Have the ability to understand the needs of both the users and the business and can transform that knowledge into services that provide real value.
Move comfortably between the different parts of the user experience design spectrum; such as user group analysis, concept development, usability tests, prototyping, UI component design etc.
Have excellent knowledge of user-centered design methods, design patterns and interaction design principles.
Have the ability of working with customer journeys, service blueprints and business impact mapping, and feel comfortable in facilitating workshops.
Have strong visual and conceptual design skills and demonstrated ability to design high-impact digital solutions with modern UI.
Have the ability to prototype interfaces and deliver detailed design specifications using Figma.
Have the ability to communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written.

Are used to work across devices and country borders.
Have previous experience from working with WCAG & accessibility requirements.
