About the job
As an IAM Security Specialist, you’ll be our subject matter expert in identity and access management, leading operational and tactical improvements across our global IT landscape. You’ll play a key role in ensuring compliant IAM controls, developing and maintaining critical processes such as joiner-mover-leaver, access governance, certificate management, and privileged access.

What you’ll bring
M.Sc. in IT or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in IAM security
Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Conditional Access, and PKI
Proven experience designing and enabling joiner-mover-leaver processes
Preferably experience with Microsoft Identity Manager and IAM in manufacturing/OT environments

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Security Operations Engineer to join our growing Security Operations team part of Essity’s global Information Security team. This is a hands-on technical role ideal for someone passionate about cybersecurity, incident response, and threat detection.

Job Description:

As a Security Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in protecting our digital assets by developing, implementing, and maintaining robust cybersecurity controls that align with industry standards and best practices. You will work closely with our external SOC and internal cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement security measures, and respond to security incidents.
The geographical scope of role responsibilities is global, but the position is in Gothenburg, Sweden with possible alternative locations in Lisbon, Portugal or Munich, Germany or in Dunstable, UK.
 

Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain operational procedures for cybersecurity tools to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Configure, manage, and automate cybersecurity tools to support monitoring, detection, and incident response.
• Research emerging threats and analyze threat intelligence reports to produce actionable items that enhance the organization’s detection and prevention capabilities.
• Develop and continuously tune detection rules, use cases, and alerting logic in SIEM, EDR, and other security platforms to improve threat visibility.
• Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to implement preventive controls, support remediation efforts, and reduce overall cyber risk.
• Provide pragmatic, risk-based recommendations to address identified vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and control gaps.
• Participate in cross-functional incident response efforts, contributing to containment, investigation, and resolution of security incidents.

Responsibilities
As Lead Security Engineer at Qmatic you will work across development teams with multiple products, hosted on the ground and in the cloud. You will define, implement, and maintain a security policy for our products and services. Once this policy has been defined and established you will coach and support the development teams on how to comply. You will ensure full alignment and high quality with regards to security.
 
With your experience in securing information assets in your previous roles you demonstrate best practice and direct the teams when it comes to tools and proactive secure development. As the Subject Matter Expert, you will have the mandate to drive security risk management. You will provide insights to determine the severity of identified vulnerabilities discovered internally or externally by clients, partners or requested external actors.
 
Qmatic is a global company with clients in more than 120 countries and we deliver solutions to the healthcare, finance, retail and public sector. Given this versatile use of our products we are regularly requested to expound our way of working with regards to security. Many clients also run their own penetration tests and we support them interpreting the results, as well as making sure issues are prioritized in our backlog. You will support the teams in this work, as well as being the point of contact for both clients and  Qmatic’s internal organization on the topic.
 
You will be responsible for setting the security requirements at a high level and ensuring that they are implemented in a cost-effective way.
 
As the Lead Security Engineer you keep up to date with latest trends and security risks. With an internal community of practice available at your fingertips you will share insights and news to spread the knowledge and find synergies cross teams.

Working hours
Full-time. The position is located at our HQ in Krokslätts Fabriker, Mölndal. Given the current pandemic we mostly work from our home offices and we see that you too have experience working in distributed teams. 

Qualifications

Have great experience in improving security in software.
Are comfortable running and interpreting penetration test reports

Are active in the OWASP community and know the Top 10 by heart.

Working hours
Full-time. The position is located at our HQ in Krokslätts Fabriker, Mölndal. Given the current pandemic we mostly work from our home offices and we see that you too have experience working in distributed teams.

The Information Security Team establishes and manages Essity Group’s information security on behalf of our CIO. Security is governed and managed through Essity Information Security Management System (ISMS). An Information Security Controller has a broad responsibility to cover tasks in all parts of the ISMS. The Controller reports to Director Information Security.
Generally, each team member’s responsibility is defined annually and is assigned based on Essity’s current risk exposure, the team member’s competences and individual development goals.
What you will do
Your main responsibilities:

We appreciate CISSP certification or other proof of experience and competence.
A freshly graduated applicant can be considered but will require location in Gothenburg for at least two years.
